This is a nonprofit organization that supports women through their fertility journey by providing free mentorship, support and education to empower and promote a proactive approach to fertility and women’s health.Shine is a unique community where members come together to support one another while celebrating the successes and battling the challenges of fertility. Shine offers a mentorship program, monthly open forums, professional seminars, & community events.

Medesthai
I have been working with Joy Anderson, the owner of Medesthai, since I started practicing in Chicago.  She brings a very powerful level of awareness to her work and has a keen ability to get to the heart of the matter, allowing her to help others navigate their challenges through meditation and coaching.  Joy has 20 years of experience behind her as an OT and life coach. She understands the negative effects that stress can have on one's life and offers customized individual sessions, as well as stress management/relaxation courses, which can be instrumental for those experiencing the stress and pain that often accompany the fertility path. Joy helps her clients achieve a sense of peace surrounding the situation, while empowering them to
fulfill their dreams.

Organic Conceptions
I had the pleasure of meeting with Marc Sherman, one of the founders of Organic Conceptions.  Marc and his wife Erin's personal struggle to conceive, not once, but twice, for nearly a decade is how Organic Conceptions began. Using proven scientific practices, they dug deep into stories from couples like them who unexpectedly overcame infertility naturally.

They partnered with PhD researcher Kate Webster and the result of their unique research is a 9 step program that helps women and couples normalize the incredibly painful and chaotic journey of infertility.  This program addresses and reshapes the cognitive and emotional elements of the journey and demystified unexpected pregnancies by examining commonalities and unearthing strategies that empower potential parents to put an end to the struggle.

Valerie Landis, the founder of Eggsperience, has a wonderful website dedicated to, as she puts it, "All things egg freezing and back".  It is a great resource for women who are considering egg freezing and want more information from both a personal experience perspective to the latest technology in cryopreservation. 

 

Evolve Counseling & Wellness
Alison Moran is the founder of Evolve Counseling & Wellness. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor that specializes in working with people going through life changes, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, and infertility.  Alison uses an eclectic approach with strong existential and humanistic leanings. She tailors her approach based upon the individual needs and goals of each client.
