Acupuncture

The insertion of fine needles along meridians. Acupuncture Wellness and Fertility Clinic uses traditional Chinese acupuncture as well as other advanced styles of needling, such as Balance Method and Distal Style. Distal Style acupuncture utilizes points from the elbow to the hands, knees to the feet, scalp and ears. As a result of inserting a needle, nerves are stimulated which sends messages to the brain These messages signal the brain to release pain killers and other conducive to healing the "sick area". Essentially, acupuncture utilizes your body's own natural pharmacy to promote healing.

Chinese herbal medicine

The Chinese have spent thousands of years studying the energetics of a wide variety of herbs, from the temperature of the herbs to the location of the body in which the herb has an affinity for. Over the vast amount of time they have continued to refine and perfect which herbs works best for particular health patterns, while taking into account the unique expression of each individual. This is truly tailored medicine that takes human variation into account.

Chinese herbal medicine can be a great stand alone treatment but is often best when combined with acupuncture services. Herbs contain various medical constituents which work in concert together to help the body maintain balance and reinforce healing in between acupuncture services. At Acupuncture Wellness & Fertility Clinic we have an herbal pharmacy as well as prepared classic formulas.

Fertility

Fertility Acupuncture is becoming a much more mainstream treatment for couples to address fertility concerns. Unfortunately, infertility is on the rise and modern day living appears to be a big contributing factor. It is about 50/50 split between male and female factor fertility issues. Modern day stresses such as excessive work, lack of sleep & exercise, consuming nutrient depleted foods, exposed to everyday toxins, many couples and individuals choosing to have children later in life, are contributing to a decrease in fertility outcomes.

cupping

Cups made of glass or other materials are placed on the body to create suction which dramatically increases circulation to the area. This rapidly facilitates the release of rigid soft tissue, loosens and lifts connective tissue. It also moves stagnation while increasing blood and lymph flow to tissues in a way which is not possible with compression massage. There is the possibility of discoloration that can occur from the clearing of stagnation which can release toxins. Discolorations will dissipate from a few hours, to days.

AURICULAR MEDICINE

The ear is densely populated with nerve endings and is closely connected to the nervous system. The ear is used to both diagnose and treat. As a result of stimulating points in an area that is so densely populated with nerve endings, there is often a great sedating effect on the nervous system. For this reason, it is often used for helping with addiction, pain, anxiety, as well as helping with other imbalances in the body.

ELECTRICAL STIMULATION (E-STIM)

Electrodes are attached to acupuncture needles which produce a mild stimulation. As a result, stimulation happens at such a rate which the human hand cannot often duplicate. Although a sensation is experienced, it is not painful. E-Stim is very effective for conditions of pain, reproductive and menstrual issues, post stroke recovery, bells palsy, and other issues.
